Our first real merchandise

Week 2 - South East London dads will visit us as a group in Week 3.  Five to six people registering on to the mailing list every day.  We made our first £25.00 in donations.  Sold about 10 cherry trees and sunflowers at the weekend.

We had five families visit today - Im realising that being a mum of two and opening a business is slightly more hectic.  Great feedback from new families - children were drawn right into the space straight away.  Loads of ideas about how to utilise the space and an offer from fab dad to become our first official Timebanker with his maintenance skills and help out with building the outside area.  I know who you are!

We got our fake grass!

Bit dark - sorry

Have a little work to do in kitchen

First little tea dancers

Our first week in The Tea Factory is nearly up!  We have managed one family a day to come in the door to meet us and 8 people have joined the mailing list this week.  We are in all weekend trying to tidy that kitchen, clean and get some tea and coffee up and running from next week.

First day in our new space.  We had one new family visit - Maud and May new to the Brockley area.  Website now up and running.

Tea Dance for Little People

Just confirmed this evening - Tea Dance for Little People will be setting up at The Tea Factory in Brockley with partnerships with Tea Leaf Arts Gallery and Green Tea Architects.  We will be bringing the community of Brockley an exciting new family dance cafe.  Custom designed for families with young children, aged 0-5, to enjoy good food and refreshment alongside top quality arts activity that promotes physical and creative movement.

We have just received our first grant from Lewisham Council to complete a feasibility phase for TDLP.  This includes branding the organisation and running three trial events across Lewisham.

TDLP is the new wave dance cafe - a cafe where kids can jump on the sofas.  A movement artist works with children, aged 0-5 and parents, encouraging physical and creative development in a relaxed environment, fully equipped to refresh and entertain the whole family.

Top quality cafe, top quality creative experience, guaranteed tired out children and a chilled ambiance.
